Auto Accidents

Auto Accident Injuries Chiropractor Treatment Options and Process

Our 5 Step Auto Cases System

We work with auto accident injuries and auto-related cases utilizing a 5-step procedure. This ensures clarity amongst all parties (i.e. you, us, auto company, health insurance, and attorneys). For us to provide our level of service, we require compliance with all 5 steps.

  • Must Fill Out: Auto Company Information

    Forms are as follows:

    • At fault auto company name
    • Claim number
    • Contact representative name
    • Contact representative phone number
    • Contact representative email
  • Must Fill Out: Your Primary and Associated HEALTHCARE Insurance Information

If the cost(s) are not covered by the auto company, we are required to bill your health insurance company. This is the process regardless if you are a current or a new patient.

    Forms are as follows:

    • Insurance company(s)
    • Insurance plan number
    • Policy holder name & birthdate
  • Must Fill Out: Attorney Lien

    • Associated attorney firm
    • Personal attorney name (if applicable)
    • Contact number
    • Contact email

We highly advise you to consider an attorney if you do not currently have one. If you would like us to put you in contact with an attorney, please let us know, as we are happy to do so.

We have a lien for you and the attorney to sign prior to treatment. This allows us to focus on treating you and helping you first and foremost. Our goal is to help you get out of pain and not about who is covering associated cost(s). We do not offer care at a reduced price.

  • $30 Per Visit Cost/Down Payment

Due to the nature of auto-claim settlement and transaction time frames (with or without attorney interventions) we require a payment of $30 due at the beginning or end of each visit as a down payment unless otherwise discussed and agreed upon with current attorney.

If using an attorney, settlements can take months to years. As a result, we are left to upfront the time associated costs for the treatment. Once settlement occurs, this $30 price per visit we be deducted from our overall associated medical bill. This leaves you, the customer, with a financially larger settlement reimbursement.

All parties are paid the same in the end. The only difference is when fees are paid. This process allows us to pay our associated overhead fees and not left to wait for months to years on reimbursement.

  • We Expect Participation

We are not treating you for free. Understand if we treat you, we expect you to show up accordingly and do your part in getting out of pain and recovering. If you do not show up for your appointments, it gives the auto insurance company and settlement attorneys justification to not pay a larger settlement.

This is simple. Imagine the viewpoint from the auto company or attorneys. If you do not show up for your appointments accordingly then you must not be in real pain. Therefore, the insurance company, does not need to cover healthcare cost(s) if you are not in pain from the auto accident.

If you want to have your healthcare covered, then do not give the associated insurance company or attorneys justification in not covering your healthcare bills.

  • Work Comp

At this time, we do not directly work with Workers Compensation cases.
  • DOT Physicals

At this time, we do not perform Department of Transportation Physicals.

  • Common Elbow Centric Diagnoses for Which We Screen

These are a few common diagnoses we screen and treat for regarding elbow symptoms. This list is not exhaustive as many symptoms and concerns do not have great diagnoses.

    1. Lateral Epicondylitis
    2. Medial Epicondylitis
    3. Bicep Tendonitis
    4. Olecranon Bursitis
    5. Myalgia
    6. Myofascial Trigger Points
    7. Sprain/Strain
    8. Osteochondritis Dissecans
    9. Cervical Radiculopathy
  • What Causes Elbow Pain?

What causes pain and what is the source of pain are two different matters. However, these two matters, conceptually, become jumbled up into one. We should always separate these two as they are profoundly different. Causes can be infinite. The way you think, feel, move, or rest may cause the pain. Therefore “causes of pain” may be infinite. However, the source of pain may be local to the place of pain, irritating local pain fibers, or much further away, resulting in the need for further investigation and categorization of the pain if long-lasting results, or results at all, are the desired outcome.

  • The Mechanical (Movement Pillar) Dynamics of the Elbow

The elbow joint is considered a hinge joint and is made of three bones – humerus, radius, ulna. Surrounding all joints there must be a balance between tension and compression of the ligaments, muscles, tendons, and fascia to maintain optimal movement health.

Mechanical elbow pain is often the consequence of problems stemming from the neck and less-than-ideal scapulothoracic awareness. The elbow, like the knee, can be viewed as the middle child. It will take on stress from the area above and below – i.e. the shoulder complex and wrist/hand. This is why elbow pain is often the symptom of the scapulothoracic joint and wrist joint dysfunctions.

When a local problem is determined to be a local cause, it can be due to an imbalance of soft-tissue structures. This requires mobilization and release of tight structures in addition to strengthening weak or inhibited structure of the painful joint as well as the joints above and below.

  • Respecting Your Finances

By offering our various programs we can quickly assess and test what is driving your symptoms and in turn providing quick options for care. Because of this, we will not only speed up recovery, but decrease overall expenses.

Is Elbow Pain an Elbow Problem?

44 % of elbow pain is originating within the spine

According to the Extremity Pain of Spinal Source (EXPOSS) study, 44% of elbow pain is originating within the spine.1 This means, if a healthcare provider is not assessing the spine as the source of the problem, he or she only has a starting point of a 56% chance of success. According to our academic standards, this is a failing grade. Big picture, elbow pain does not mean elbow problem and the research supports this statement.

The Extra Professional Touch to Your Elbow Pain

If there are specific services local to where you live, we will help direct you to those services if needed. By using us as your portal of entry contact to your back health, we can be a non-biased party, providing only the best science-backed information. Our emphasis is on getting you to do what you need to do to liberate you from a system – the healthcare system.

  • What Causes Knee Pain?

Knee pain can affect anyone, regardless of athletic ability or age. Knee Pain is often the consequence of foot and hip dysfunction. Due to the architecture of the foot and hip, the knee becomes easily damaged as a result of compensation. The muscles, fascia, tendons, and ligaments supporting the knee will become irritated, and/or inflamed. When the mechanics of either the foot or hip are improper, the knee will alter or increase its range of motion which may result in pain or early degeneration.

  • The Mechanical (Movement Pillar) Dynamics of the Knee

Like the elbow, the knee is a hinge joint made of 3 bones – femur, tibia, fibula. Surrounding all joints there must be a balance between tension and compression of the ligaments, muscles, tendons, and fascia to maintain optimal movement health.

Mechanical knee pain is often the consequence of problems stemming from the hip and less-than-ideal foot mechanics. The knee, like the elbow, can be viewed as the middle child. When a local problem is determined to be a local cause, it can be due to an imbalance of soft-tissue structures. Is Knee Pain a Knee Problem

26 % of knee pain is originating within the spine

According to the Extremity Pain of Spinal Source (EXPOSS) study, 26% of knee pain is originating within the spine when mechanical (Movement Pillar) in nature.1 This means, if a healthcare provider is not assessing the spine as the possible source of the problem, he or she only has a successful starting point of 74%. • What Causes “Jaw” or Temporal Mandibular Joint (TMJ) Pain?

What causes pain and what is the source of pain are two different matters. However, these two matters, conceptually, become jumbled up into one. • The Mechanical (Movement Pillar) Dynamics of the Jaw

The temporomandibular joint, commonly referred to as the TMJ, is a ginglymoarthrodial joint meaning it rotates and translates simultaneously. Surrounding all joints, TMJ being no exception, there must be a balance between tension and compression of the ligaments, muscles, tendons, and fascia. When a local problem is determined to be a local cause, it can be due to an imbalance of these structures. This requires mobilization and release of tight structures in addition to strengthening weak or inhibited structure of the painful joint as well as the joints above and below.

When the TMJ becomes dysfunctional, it in turn creates jaw pain, neck pain, and headaches. Research indicates a close connection between neck pain and TMJ dysfunction. Certain muscles of the jaw are neurologically integrated in vision, balance, proprioception, and postural control of the entire body.1 This may lead to forward head posture, or various neck problems.2

Is Jaw Pain a Jaw Problem?

80 % of TMJD resolve with conservative care if not caused by an injury

Many people who experience jaw pain also have correlated neck pain or dysfunction.3 Because of this interconnectedness, we prefer to work closely with board certified orthodontists. Eighty percent of TMJD resolve with conservative care if not caused by an injury. If caused by injury, only 20-30% of symptoms resolve with conservative care.4
